but if george w. bush had his way, it would be. accoring to dubya, that’s the way america should be and that’s his intention with operation iraqi oilthe war on “terrorism”.
i guess ol’ georgie never played any team sports in high school or at yale, eh? i mean, if i think back to the things that ol’ coach shiplet & coach hiltz used to drill into my head one of the fundamental tenents of any sport (be it basketball or soccer or volleyball) is “the best offense is a good defense”.
and it’s true.
it doesn’t matter how aggressive your offense is if you’re letting the other team score on you like a $2 hooker in chinatown. what’s the fucking point, right? you have to have a strong defense, so that you’re not vulnerable while wearing the other team down and gettin’ your own game on. it’s a very elementary concept. i mean, fuck…elementary students grasp this. but apparently our commander in chief cannot wrap his little monkey brain around this.
and i admit, i am not a die-hard kerry fan. in fact, i don’t endear myself to any politician, because i’m very anti-politics. i find the bureacracy of it all to be plain nauseating. republican, democrat…whatever…
so yeah, i’ve always had this lackadaisical attitude towards the government and elections but the older i get (ugh, that sounds so trite and retarded) the more i’m aware of how these things directly affect my life & the lives of my friends and family.

before i get into the insanity that was the “presidential debates” let me reiterate: John Kerry Is a Douchebag But I’m Voting For Him Anyway.
whooo boy…does my brain HURT!!!! it’s been a long while since i’v endured any debates and i have to tell you, even though it was roughly a 90 minute deal, it was an ordeal.
some supplementary material: equally serious misstatements by bush and kerry, and also highlighting the debate’s differences because i’m tired and have a problem set due at 9 am tomorrow. woo and yay.

i’m going to head out of here soon for watching with the pfoho-sers in the common room. i really hope it goes well. because bush is notorious for being poorly spoken/articulated and i’m hoping that kerry can step up and make an impact. because it’s definitely needed.
unfortunately, i will have no alcohol present for these debates, but this should be fun Debate Bingo
