let’s see, entire domain went down horribly & had to be repaired. work tried eating my soul. the boy’s eye tried to devour his whole skull (poor thing). and a bunch of other random crap that is not important…but mainly…

ohmygod they killed him!!!!
and of course, i was totally not prepared for that. at all. and i swear to god, as much as i love battlestar, i’m really starting to get annoyed with how much it’s getting to me. cuz the whole ‘the president is dying of cancer’ thing was almost too much to watch. you know, sore subject & all that. but…considering the last two episodes that basically left me feeling distinctly “WTF?” and all the previous storylines that have apparently been abandoned (hey, Chief, we haven’t forgotten you! they’re just eating you after they finish eating Gaeta!)…i wasn’t expecting this. and most importantly, i do not like having stupid girly reactions to things. it bugs the fuck out of me, and usually makes me very angry later.
it started off bad, and you think ‘oh it can’t get any worse than them breaking poor billy’s stupid little puppydog heart…’ then you realize: WRONG! this is BSG, always remember that it can, and it will get worse. much worse. and usually in a way you least expect it. and of course, it did.
of course, listening to the podcast this morning i suddenly remembered something i had forgotten. ron moore used to work on roswell. way back in the day. and i fucking loved roswell. so much. i used to catch all the reruns on the scifi channel as well, because i was way sad when it ended so seemingly abruptly. and then he dropped his bomb: (moore) was responsible for getting colin hanks’ character off the show. or really, just killing him off so he could go do movies and whatnot. and i remembered the killing off and how much it sucked and blah and suck and damn. i had forgotten about roswell and all that. of course, now that i remember, i’m only *that much* more wary-like of the whole rest of the season.
there does appear to be a slight lack of continuity or something. or you know, it’s all just one big jumble these days, but i suspect that it has a point. and at the very least, it appears to be the show’s MO to take every character on there and severely mindfuck them into insanity. maybe it’ll end up with a cast of nothing but baltars… ick.
