since i’m working out the purchase details for a spiffy new laptop for job #2 right now, this is quite fitting.
- Do you look forward to getting new toys (appliances, gadgets, etc)? Why/why not?
fuck yes, i do! electronic/computer catalogues are like my fucking porn, dudes. seriously, when the catalogs come to job #2 i have to refrain from running off into a dark corner with them & drooling all over the shiny, shiny lovelies. and i visit the apple store online just about every day to appease my mac fantasies. ::sigh:: some girls are all about shoes or clothes, some girls obviously don’t have an appreciation for fine electronics. - Have you gotten any new toys lately (say, the last 6 months)? Do you like them?
has it been less than 6 months since i got my mini? i don’t know…furthermore, i don’t give a fuck! my mini is the awesomest, really. just…uber awesome. i have to say, though, i don’t like my mac mini. oh no…i fucking LOVE it! - Do you get any satisfaction out of getting new electronic equipment? Why/why not?
yes and no. fucking YES! because electronics are awesome. videogame systems, sound systems, computer equipment, shiny things with lights and buttons, they fucking rock. hell, i even get excited about random networking components. and even more excited about new equipment when it’s for me. the no part comes from not having the kizzash to support all these technological desires, and thus not being able to acquire them. i suppose work gives me a quick fix every once in a while, though…but i want more! - Bonus Question: If you could get any new piece of equipment, what would it be? Why?
you do realize i could spend like, an entire month’s salary on stuff from apple.com, right? cuz i fucking could! you know, if my landlord let me & i could subsist entirely off of the happy, purty glow from my shiny new toys… anyway, what i really need to get right now, first & foremost, is: new memory for the mini & an airport card for the imac. those are top of my list, necessity purchases. not fun, ohmygodiwantyounow! purchases. but if money were no object…oh god…i don’t know what i’d do first!!! laptoplaptoplaptop. yes, i know i’m buying one for job #2, but fucking dell can’t satisfy me the way a shiny, macbook pro could. that’s like comparing tofu dogs to a fucking porterhouse steak, of filet mignon. fucking dell. a 15.4″ macbook pro, with dual processors…teh droool! and i’d accessorize with a kick ass color laser printer, digital video camera, external storage kit & wacom drawing pad. and like, 50 million other things as well. namely, a shitload of software. software is expensive, yo.
