i’m not sure what would be the best stragegy for taking on the undead given my current location. it would be easier to hold them off back in colorado, because of the sparse population and ready supplies/weaponry. also, much easier to fortify a house for a makeshift stronghold.
boston is far too densely-packed an full of stupid people. a goodish number of the college-aged kids that just poured into the city this fall (and every fall) aren’t capable of much more than finding a pair of dress flip-flops & clogging the T with stale sweat, overpriced perfume and mind-numbing chatter. they are most likely the first to be zombiefied and/or destroyed by zombies. probably while all trying to crowd into one car on the T.
high apartment buildings would make for a good structural advantage, so long as you’re stockpiled & holed up on a high enough floor. good for waiting out the attack. but, given the bostonian’s proclivity to looting and rioting like a bunch of crazed maniacs for no good reason (fuck the red sox), it’s likely to be very unsafe on the streets. driving will not be an option either, even though western mass would probably be a safer bet. getting away from people, and isolation is key.
zombies most likely think of crowds as a buffet line…a buffet line that can scream. you know, assuming zombies can think — which all evidence points to them not being able to think of anything other than: RAAAWWRRR! BLEEEHHH!! MUUUUHHHH!!! BRRRAAAAIIIINNNNSSSS!!!
i must do further research to scout out the best readily available zombie stronghold. and also city escape routes.
all in the event of an attack by the recently undead.
