not to get all feminist-ranty or whatever but seriously, fucking SERIOUSLY it’s about god-damned time that they started doing something to make dudes fucking responsible for contraception. hell, it’s PASSED god-damned time for that, passed it a long ass time ago.
it’s not fair that girls have to do everything — and it’s stupid too — it makes much more sense to cut it off at the source, really. and any notion about it depleting ‘manhood’ or whatever stupid-ass male ego bullshit is just retarded. yeah, it could end up with (if this works) dudes just saying they’re on a man-pill and not really being on it just to dupe chicks into bonin’ them. it could. but women do the same fucking thing to guys all the time!!! that’s not a good reason to not have this!
of course, i realize that a lot more testing is going to need to be done to see if this can safely translate from rats to humans, but i hope to god it can be. it really needs to be. and since it is non-hormonal and thus far safely reversible i don’t see any reason why it shouldn’t be, actually.
men get off too fucking easy, and at any rate the only thing that pregancy really results in for a guy is the possibility of child support payments. they don’t deal with disfiguring parasite infestations, they don’t deal with life-long symbiotic relationships with said parasite spawnlings, they don’t have to do a god damned thing. and it’s not fucking fair.
pregnancy and childbirth and all that spawning-related stuff is actually horrifying. so much can go wrong, so much can be life-threatening before you even get to the actual spawn, and that’s just wrong.
as fun as sex is — no, wait, as fucking awesome as sex is — sometimes the consequences are almost too fucking much. and it’s just worse when there are guys out there who don’t (at the very least) go to the trouble of even having condoms handy, when they expect you to do everything yourself. like they’re doing you a favor just by getting it up.
bullshit.
of course, i realize any kind of man-pill won’t cut down on diseases (which are almost as bad as babies); but female BC pills don’t do anything for disease prevention either.
anyway, all i hope is that the research & development on this option continues and that someday, someday…is actually responsibly implemented in the world.
