i’ve had the longest, most mentally exhausting week ever. server failures and system outages and meetings galore. suck-a-dick. and in between it all, our freaking holiday party of awesomeness.
i’ve never been to the top of the hub — and it’s likely i’ll never go their again on my own dime — but it was a really spectacular view. and the food was extra yummy, too.
work parties are always really great. good people, great food, awesome liquor…i can’t complain. and while there were a few issues i could’ve dealt without, it was super fun.
the rally cry of the cambridge office is officially: CAR BOMBS!
they are deliciously delicious alcoholic chocolate-milk-tasting wonders. i think we may have finished of dillon’s supply of baileys wednesday night. it was totally worth it.
the only downside to such a killer party was that i was up super early wednesday morning for a training meeting we had in the office and up super late wednesday night/thursday early unholy morning drinking & carousing (which was worth it). this meant i was more tired than used ass in a fifty cent whore house. so unbelievably sleepy. too sleepy. past the point of actually sleeping, sleepy.
so of course, the boy and i went to green tea last night. it is the yummiest of the yummy, but i was so freaking tired i couldn’t even deal with the menu properly. vegetable tempura is so delicious, but that’s about all i could deal with in the state i was in. i got noodles, but they were infested with shrimp.
shrimp (and most manner of crustaceans and mollusks and fish) are the most vile of creatures and should never be in things that are intended for consumption. the noodles were good, but when you’re that sleepy, picking out bits of pure evil is tiring.
i still love green tea, though.
loves it so hard.
