now, let me break it down for you one time…
i mean…rowr, baby. r-o-w-r
which is to say…jetta and i saw motorcycle diaries last night and not only do i want to shag gael garcia bernal senseless and have millions of his bastard babies, as well as cuddle with his “chubby” friend…i have this little endearing “aw” reaction to che guevara now.
did you know he was a doctor before becoming a revolutionary…?
did you know he had asthma…?
did you he moved to mexico to train with Fidel…?
did you know they took a boat into the swamps of Cuba…?
did you know he fought with and lost many men before heading into the hills…?
did you know he knocked the Batista government out of Cuba…?
well…did you?
the movie was just very well-paced, and i have to say, i’m on a major foreign films kick these days. which is not suprising since hollywood these days really sucks some fetid donkey cock. no, seriously. no…i mean it. it’s quite disturbing how lame movies have beome as of late. i mean, i can count on one hand the scant few movies i’ve seen that haven’t required copious amounts of alcohol in order to merely sit through them: napoleon dynamite, hero, ghost in the shell 2: innocence, shaun of the dead (suprisingly good, loved it), and now motorcycle diaries.
with the exception of napoleon dynamite — which was for all intents and purposes and indie film — everything i’ve liked lately has been a foreign film. and i can’t watch anime these days unless it’s with english subtitles and in the orginal language. watching english versions of anime is so annoying.
who would’ve thunk, right? i mean, i don’t speak the foreign. yet i find myself preferring it much more these days.
strange.
and so yes, i highly recommend motorcycle diaries…it’s just such a well-done film. and it’s not all revolution and whatnot, it’s two friends, it’s a journey, it’s a road trip, it’s beautiful.
and i loved it.
and the dude in it is smokin’ hott.
but if i were you, i’d avoid seeing it in a theatre where a zombie dude is feasting on the carcass of some dead woman.
just sayin’…
