if you haven’t scurried out and grabbed a copy of the new mos def CD, then what the hell you waitin’ for? get up, get out, get yer ass to the store! on the reals, though…it’s so hot, fly beats, tight rhymes, rockin’ tracks, and chock full of real, hardcore, motherfuckin’ soul. i shit you not.
i’ve not been able to take it off loop, wearin’ out the CD in my player, and you KNOW i already dumped it on the ipod. endless loop, repeat, repeat, shuffle, loop. aren’t i such a little consumer whore?
so far, highly recommended tracks are:
- “ghetto rock” — there’s no way you can hear this and not nod ya head.
- “black jack” — old school bluesy soundin’, straight up groove
- “the boogie man song” — feed me, fuck me, trust me, love me, i am the boogie man…mos def
- “close edge” — did you see mos on the chappelle show? this is that track, polished and hot as fuck. don’t push me, cuz i’m close…
- “bedstuy parade” — i can’t stand you, i just love you… smoooth motherfucker…
ok, i realize i gotta stop now or i’m gonna run down all the tracks…then again, so the fuck what?
mos def
mos best
get yer ass out and get it. STAT!
(note: if i can figure out radioblog, i’m gonna have the album here shortly… palabra)
