so, per gravy’s recommendation, i decided to finally get my hands on a copy of A History of Violence. and well…let’s just say it left me a little wanting in the violence department. sure, sure, the killins were gorey & gooshy enough…they were just so s p r e a d o u t that i got mad bored (and a little squicked) with all the down-on-the-farm-american-dream mushiness & such. that & viggo mortensen had a completely ridiculous haircut — and was not tossing trolls or defending hobbits & thus completely uninteresting. sure, a dude got his throat stepped on, but we also had to see extra creepy fake-cheerleader bonin’, and that was not good. so yeah, lots of boringness on the “family life” bullshit and not enough killin’ and, you know, violence. the boy thinks they drew it out as such to make way for some sort of plot or dramatic story or whatever, but the problem is, even that didn’t work out. and, i really hate it when movies don’t have an actual “ending”. it makes me stabby & such. stabbity stab!!!
so very disappointing. so many throat punchings for the gravy in mere days…
also, fucking everything has me on edge lately and i really fucking hate it. i have about a million things to deal with these days and only a fraction of the time i need to deal with them and more shit keeps flying at me every day. additionally: whine whine whine whine.
guh.
oh and i have to pack, which is liable to destroy my lovely, newly cleaned room. and i worked so fucking hard to re-discover that floor, damnit. i have to pack, i have to get my shit in order, i have to prepare, i have to tie up loose ends, i have to deal with airports & traveling & time zone switches…
and i guess what it all boils down to…really…is…
i’m afraid to go home
