i forget that i’m somewhat doomed to forever get newsletters & updates and all sorts of other bullshit from harvard, because there’s just too much to unsubscribe to. for the most part it all gets filtered to a folder and then deleted.
Harvard to Eliminate Early Admission
Beginning next year, Harvard College will eliminate its early admission program and move to a single application deadline of January 1, the University announced. The change in policy, which builds on Harvard’s efforts over the past several years to expand financial aid and increase openness in admissions, will take effect for students applying in the fall of 2007 for the freshman class entering in September 2008.
i suppose that’s a good thing. i never did early admissions myself…i don’t think i could have. not only was i not certain where i wanted to go or anything even remotely close to that; but i also was so freakishly busy my senior year that the two weeks i set aside to crank out all my college applications made me physically ill, nearly ruined christmas, and was completely & thoroughly exhausting.
but i suppose in the end, none of that means a lick of shit, really.
this, however, is even more nauseating to think about:

it’s a fucking SCHOOL! what kind of fucking school should ever have that much money?!?!?
Second richest non-profit in the world.
After the Catholic Church.
If they wanted, they’d never have to charge tuition again.
