every once in a while i realize that the last time i had only one job i was in high school. and even so, that didn’t last very long because once summer hit i started tutoring at the college, thus starting my job #2 habit. and i’ve always had 2 jobs, sometimes (often) even more. the most i had at once, i think, was 5 jobs: tech monkey, mac ADVteam leader, cooking assistant, ua (tech monkey @ school), showcase ua. and it was insane and ultimately hurt me more than it helped me. another time i had three jobs and one of them was freelance while the other two were full-time/part-time gigs in the Real World. but i’ve always been so busy i don’t know what to do with myself, and yet scraping by to try and not be a completely poor motherfucker.
now, i’m very happily employed at my one and only job right now, and i’m making decent pay (or better than i ever have before) and yet, it’s right around payday (like today) when i budget everything out, allot money for bills, and rent (especially at the end of the month) and realize i’m so hosed. budgeting & saving & bills & also trying to scrape together some money for a few measely christmas gifts…
it’s frustrating. and when i realize just how broke i am no matter what i do…it just makes me want to suck it up and get another job. because maybe that’s what i need to do. how in the hell i’m going to do that, i don’t quite know right now. work is busy and time-consuming, and i’m so spoiled with this whole “go-to-work-whenever-i-feel-like” habit that i don’t know if i can rightly break myself of it. ugh…meh…feh.
and time is running out so soon, running out left & right that i don’t even know what to do anymore.

i am so not prepared for the end of the year, really. i can’t believe tomorrow is december, and then…no more 2006! i can’t say i’m sorry to see it go, that’s for damn sure. i only hope…really hope…that maybe things will start to get better.
and now, on with the filler!

Ten Things You Want to Do Before the End of the Year
- get a definite Plan for the whole moving thing
- start collecting boxes for the whole moving thing
- think about getting my eyes checked
- think about figuring out another tattoo (for reals)
- figure out a definitive budget for the end of the year/beginning of next year
- actually accomplish something at work (that i’ve been meaning to do for a while)
- go to canadia again (this probably is not going to happen, though)
- get a few more games for my NES
- actually play my NES sometime
- fix wfb.com for my midget
(source: ten on tuesday)
i’m sure there’s more and stuff, but i’m just tapped out right now, you know? meh. anyway…i’m so busy i never know if i’m coming or going these days. bleh.

- Let’s talk about holidays…
- Which of the holidays that you celebrate, do you feel is the most important?
i tend to really like easter lots. the day of the zombie jesus lord is an important day, personally, and it’s the only holiday that doesn’t feel so commercially-driven to me anymore. also, it gives me a lot of time to think. i don’t necessarily go by the secular aspect of easter anyway. - Which holiday do you most enjoy?
talk like a pirate day, halloween, easter, no pants day, pi day. - Is there one holiday that your family tries to get together every year? If so, which one?
we get together at christmas, because i have to. it used to be an ok thing, but anymore it’s just stressful & overwhelming. it’s not the same without my gram around anymore…so the winter holidays are always a bit heartbreaking anyway. - Share one special memory from a past holiday.
i dunno, i’m drawing a blank right now. christmas when i was little was ok, even thanksgivings were fun. i always liked st. patrick’s day when i was a little kid because every year my gram gave me a pot of fresh clover to grow, and some of them were the 4-leaf kind. it was always so neat & i love clover. - Name one holiday coming up, that you’re really looking forward to, and why.
pi day. because there will be lots and lots of pie. and also because i will hopefully be making pie from my very own kitchen — where the only mess i’ll have to clean will be my own.

how i had such a nice relaxful holiday weekend, but it was totally marred by one nasty, intrusive event. i wish i could just think of my days off in terms of the fun spent with the boy, but i really can’t. especially since i have such a disturbing reminder of the way everything went wrong.
fuck massachusetts. so.hard.
