as much as i adore having a long weekend, the whole 5-days-of-work-crammed-into-a-4-day-week thing is just a little bit draining. or you know, totally & completely draining. my shoulders are sore from various haunched over positions while working, my eyes are literally freaking the fuck out and my head hurts. also: my desk is a complete and total disaster area.
i’m le tired.
on the plus side, kickball starts soon and i’m way excited for that. it will be good to go out and play hard, party hard & socialize.
also, i have come to acknowledge and accept my habit of incessant window shopping online (can you even do that, really?). it’s gotten worse over the years and at the end of the day i’ll find i’ve just browsed about 50 different online stores and spent (in my mind) a few month’s worth of paychecks on any number of things. i do this all the freaking time, really. i’m not even hardcore materialistic or anything but i have about 100 thousand wish lists built up in my headmeats. it’s ridiculous. and they’re things that aren’t even really for me, actually. birthday presents for folks, things people i know need, stuff that would be cool to share, etc. and dear lord, now that i have my own apartment it just doesn’t end. i look and look and look.
and then i look at my bank account and cringe and look away.
sigh.
what exactly, is so special about friday the 13th anyway? i never really ever notice it until the day has passed…
