i’m so tired my eyelashes hurt.
the company offsite is over (huzzah!) and all went well (double-huzzah!!) and whatnot, but i’m totally beat. nearly 30 hours of work was completed by tuesday…how is that even fucking possible?
well i know it’s possible, i’m just in a state of personal disbelief and exhaustion. i did actually get more than a handful of hours of sleep last night, so that’s good.
last night the boy & i watched a bootlegged copy of knocked up. i had been really excited about the movie because it was supposed to be hilarious. and also, it had paul rudd (so dreamy!) and seth rogen (so funny!)…
and we watched it, and i was more horrified/grossed out/bored than amused. though there were some funny bits and you can gargle my balls if you disagree.
surprisingly it got really good reviews, maybe just because it came in on the curtails of the 40-year-old virgin. meh?
some of them are just confusing:
Brush aside the crude formula and bathroom humor and you’ve got yourself a surprisingly delicate social commentary that’s guaranteed to be this summer’s comic hit.
how in the hell was that a social commentary? except for maybe:
a.) babies are gross
b.) pregnant ladies are fucking disgusting
c.) marriage sucks and
d.) don’t drink and fuck
???
i was disappointed, and thought the 40 year old virgin was much better. also, pregnancy is fucking gross and babies are parasites. i didn’t feel bad for katherine heigl at all, and i love her. soft spot for her since roswell and she is really pretty. her character, however, i could’ve cared less about. and i feel like they restricted seth rogen’s humor. i thought he should’ve told her to fuckoff and forgot about the whole situation from the start. and of course, the whole time i wanted to hug paul rudd. because he is awesome. i didn’t think it was a terribly romantic movie or anything either. in fact, it was kind of depressing in some parts, and repulsive in others.
shame.
it definitely was additional convincing towards the I AM NEVER FUCKING BREEDING EVER decision.
because i’m not.
ever.
