i got picked for another old navy sample share again, and it wasn’t too bad. two free tees and/or tanks for me and two for a friend. i went to the old navy in watertown, i like going there, usually, because it’s an outlet store and they have a better selection (sometimes). but the staff had no idea what’s up. they were very confused about the coupons and told me i could only get one tee (a crewneck) or one tank.
much, much later, they FINALLY told me that i could get two. but again, one ugly crew neck and one tank. then they deliberated and there were two styles of tanks i could get. the perfect tank (a ribbed knit variety) and the tami tank. i was interested in these striped ribbed knit tanks, but was told i had to pick plain styles only.
so i got a kelly green and charcoal grey tami tank. the staff seemed upset that they were free. i also bought a butterfly scarf for my mother, and a headband for myself, but they did not seem to be ok with that.
it’s a shame that old navy and crowd tap don’t work better together. if they could notify the brick & mortar stores that “this coupon is valid for X, Y, and Z” and make sure the staff know and maybe label the items in the store that are eligible.
i think the sample share for spring dresses was better, but all in all i did like the tanks. it’s a damn shame about the tees, though. they are SO SO THIN and THREADBARE that you cannot wear them alone. they’re practically see-through! that’s why ON is pushing the layering so much, because you have to buy two just to get away with wearing them.
oh well.
i’m looking forward to wearing my new green tank for the st. patrick’s day 5k in marshfield, though. so the timing worked out fine.
